Another morning where we pack up camp onto the bikes and head on. We check in at the train station then off to the visitor center for lunch and coffee. On our way up to the station we saw a mama moose and two babies this time on the side of the road. They still amaze me on how big they are.... i just love moose!
The fun part about traveling is all the people you meet. I talked to a kid, can't be older than 12, who is from Pennsylvania. This was one of the more in depth conversations i have had in awhile... for the most part it was me listening because he was talking about things i didn't know! It made me think i should get out more and learn more about different things :/ he was way more mature then i am but i did love that he had no problem talking to strangers and was not shy.
Off to the train station to board the train, another 8 hour train ride and we will be in anchorage. Clear blue skies again so we got to Denali on our way out! Still and i think will always be impressive to see her, and the fact that we are far away and can see her. On this ride we did see a couple Caribou and then a moose swimming in a lake... AWESOME!!!
Lots of card playing to make the time go by. We got a hold of the Coldfoot post office and good news, the lady says she will forward our package to Seward so finger crossed it actually works!! The train gets into anchorage at 8:00pm and then doesn't leave for Seward until 6:45am, so our plan was to stay in a 24 hour Dennys but decided to get a room at a hostel and actually sleep. Probably one of our better decisions. I am getting sick of packing and unpacking our bikes so i try to keep as much as i can in the "luggage".... isn't the easiest to bike like that but i made it work.
A nice hot shower, first time since Svens, which feels amazing and then bed. Seward tomorrow for a week!!
